This question reminds me of a present I bought for my girlfriend/husband/wife that took me a long time to decide upon. As you know, sometimes, it isn't easy to make up one’s mind on the type of gift to buy for someone who is special to you.

A few weeks ago, it was my husband.wife/girlfriend/boyfriend’s birthday and as usual, I was expected to present him/her a memorable present. However, I didn't know what kind of present to buy that would please him/her. My mind was torn between buying a shop-bought gift and handmade present. In fact, I contemplated for more than a week and even sought advice from some close friends. 

In the end, I decided to buy an expensive wristwatch because he/she likes wearing watches.After buying it from an online shop, I waited for it to be delivered and I wrapped it up needly.

The main reason why I spent a lot of time thinking about this gift was because my wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend is a bit picky and difficult to be placated. Secondly, we’ve been together just for a short period and I had not yet understood his/her taste. So, this is a time when I took a long time to make up my mind on what gift to buy for someone.
