아이엘츠 스피킹 Part 2

11.  Describe a historical place you would like to visit.

You should say:

What is the place?

Where is it found?

How you knew about this place

Why are you interested in this place

And explain why you would like to visit it

Well, there are a plethora of historical places in South Korea, but one that stands out  in my mind is  the famous Gyeongbokgung Palace.  As the name indicates, the building was once the palace of King Taejo during the Joseon dynasty.

This fabulous structure is located in the heart of Seoul .I came to know this place due to its historical significance. Recently, this palace was included in the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites in South Korea.

What interests me in this place is the history behind it and the architectural nature. Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung palace is now one of the biggest tourist attractions in Korea due to its majesty. There are many structures within the palace complex including the Dohwamun Gate, Geumcheongyo Bridge, Injeongjeon Hall, and the Juhamnu Pavilion, to name a few.  Besides, the palace is divided into different sections:  the government hall and the royal private section.

I would like to visit this place in order to learn more about it especially the architectural ingenuity of our forefathers. This is all I have to say about the historical building that I would like to visit.
